One Million Bibles to Flood Nigeria in Honour of Seyi Tinubu
In a faith-inspired initiative aimed at promoting moral renewal across Nigeria, one million copies of the Holy Bible are set to be distributed nationwide in honour of Barrister Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The announcement was made during a thanksgiving service held on Sunday at the National Christian Centre, Abuja, organised by friends of Seyi Tinubu and coordinated by Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN).
According to the organisers, the project aims to promote faith-based values, ethical leadership, and civic responsibility among Nigerian youths, using the Bible as a moral compass to rebuild the nation’s value system.
Hon. Enwere described the initiative as a gift to the body of Christ, emphasising that it was inspired by the need to restore integrity and compassion among young Nigerians rather than to mark a personal celebration.
“The One Million Bible Project is a seed for moral transformation. Through this effort, we hope to renew the spirit of truth, discipline, and love for humanity in our society,” Enwere said.
The thanksgiving service, which also held simultaneously in over 40 churches nationwide, featured prayers, worship, and messages centred on national renewal and the spiritual awakening of Nigeria’s youth.
Rev. Ini Ukpuho, Chaplain of the National Christian Centre, officiated the service and led intercessory prayers for the Tinubu family and the nation. Clergymen from various denominations praised the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention amid growing concerns over the decline of moral values in society.
In a goodwill message read on his behalf, Seyi Tinubu expressed deep appreciation to the organisers, stressing that moral education and faith remain essential ingredients for national development.
“Faith and moral reawakening are key to building a responsible and prosperous nation. I’m grateful for this gesture and pray that this initiative will touch lives across Nigeria,” he said.
The first batch of Bibles was officially presented during the service and will be distributed through churches, schools, and youth ministries in the coming weeks.
