Okowa promises more Appointments, thanks Deltans for their Support

Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has promised youths and women in the state to expect another round of appointments soon.

The Governor who made the call in Asaba during the the 2017 Democracy Day cum Delta State Thanksgiving and Praise Day to mark the second year in office said that it has been very difficult for the past two years in office.

He added that during the first year, there were a lot of crisis in the creeks, which was a thug of war but today we are celebrating with crisis free in the creeks.

Governor Okowa expressed displeasure at the current fourth position of Delta State among the Oil Producing States in Nigeria noting that he is not comfortable with the position. He assured Deltans that the state will reclaim its number one spot in Oil Production come 2018.

The governor appreciated all Deltans for supporting his government, that he has a strong confidence that the brighter day has come. “I’m a very lucky governor based on the support of Deltans. The two past governors and deputies are with me in this year’s Democracy day celebration”.

He advised all personnel working with him from Delta State Government House to the State and National Assembly to be courageous in discharging of their duties and have no fear because God is with them.
