Oborevwori Commends Ohanaeze Ndigbo Traders for 180-Shop Plaza in Okpe

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has commended the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Traders and Independent Workers Association (ONTIWA) for commencing construction of a 180-lock-up-shop plaza in Okpe Local Government Area.

Oborevwori, represented by the Executive Director, Projects, DESOPADEC, Olorogun Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu, spoke on Thursday at the groundbreaking ceremony.

He described the project as an important private-sector investment that would create jobs, boost trade and contribute to the economic development of Okpe and Delta State.

“Delta State has always welcomed hardworking Nigerians from every part of the country, and we will continue to provide a peaceful and enabling environment where everyone can live, work, invest and prosper,” he said.

The governor said his administration would continue to implement policies under the MORE Agenda that encourage private investment, create opportunities and strengthen local economies.

President of ONTIWA, Delta State, Mazi Chibuzor Samuel Okoye, commended Oborevwori for policies supporting entrepreneurs and assured the state government of the association’s continued partnership.

“Your trade policies reflect a rare understanding that entrepreneurs are not merely taxpayers. We are partners in progress, engines of employment and architects of prosperity,” he said.

Okoye also thanked the host communities for their support, saying: “Your hospitality has been our shelter. Your support has been our strength. You have welcomed us not as strangers but as family.”
