Macaulay Felicitates With Archbishop Odutemu

A former Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay has felicitated with the newly inaugurated Archbishop of Bendel Province of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, His Eminence, Rt. Rev. Cyril Odutemu.

In a congratulatory message personally signed by him, the former SSG noted his eminence meteoric rise to the top saying that this could only have been made possible by the grace of God, dint of hard work, self-discipline and providence.

In particular, he observed with delight that Odutemu at 38 years old, remained the youngest priest to be elected Bishop of the Anglican Church as well as the first Urhobo man to be installed Archbishop of the Church.

“It is a thing of joy for you to emerge the Archbishop of Bendel Province of the Anglican Communion; it is even more gladdening to know that you are the first Urhobo man to make it to that exalted office, which is a continuation of the feat of emerging the youngest Bishop at the age of 38.

“This is not a surprise to some of us who have been keen observers of your antecedents for some time, and seen your dedication to the service of God particularly the fire and anointing that follows your preaching of the gospel of Christ.

“No doubt, this attests to the fact that the confidence reposed in you by His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa in choosing you as the Chairman of the State Pilgrims Welfare Board, was not misplaced,” he stated.

Macaulay who is the Director General (DG) of Warri/Uvwie and Environs Development Agency (WUEDA), prayed God to grant the Archbishop the grace to excel in his new assignment.
