How To Apply For Delta State 2025/2026 Bursary Scheme
The Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board has announced the commencement of online registration for the 2025/2026 Students Special Assistance Scheme (SSAS) bursary award programme for eligible students of Delta State origin.
The announcement, released by the board, stated that the bursary scheme is aimed at supporting students enrolled in approved tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
According to the notice, applicants must be indigenes of Delta State and possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN) to qualify for the programme.
The board also stated that applicants must be registered full-time students of approved public and private tertiary institutions, while postgraduate students, including PGD, Masters and PhD candidates, are not eligible for the scheme.
To qualify, students must have a minimum CGPA of 2.20 in the previous academic session and must be in at least their second year of study. University students must be in 200 level and above, while Polytechnic students must be in ND II or HND II. Colleges of Education students are required to be in NCE II or III.
Applicants are also expected to have an active account with a CBN-approved commercial bank.
The board directed interested students to complete their applications through the official portal by visiting the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board website www.dsbsb.dl.gov.ng and clicking on the “Apply Now” option.
It added that applicants would pay a non-refundable online processing fee of ₦800 using a debit card during registration.
According to the announcement, registration for the scheme will run for four weeks, beginning from Monday, May 11, 2026, to Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
The board further disclosed that physical verification of applicants would be conducted after the close of registration.
