Delta Govt Disowns Fake Nursing School Admission Advert
The Delta State Ministry of Health has warned the public to disregard a fake nursing school admission advertisement currently circulating on social media.
The fraudulent notice is being shared via a Facebook page operating under the name “Delta State School of Nursing Warri and Agbor Admission News.” The Ministry clarified that the publication did not originate from it or any of its Colleges of Nursing Sciences.
In a statement, the Ministry cautioned applicants, parents, and guardians against engaging with or making payments to individuals behind the advert.
“Admission into all Delta State–owned Colleges of Nursing Sciences is strictly through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).”
The Ministry further stressed that:
- No College of Nursing under the Delta State Ministry of Health offers direct admission.
- No admission forms are sold by the Ministry, its Colleges, staff, agents, or third parties.
- No individual, agent, phone number, or so-called school administrator has been authorized to conduct admissions or sell forms.
According to officials, claims about the sale of forms for the 2026/2027 academic session, listed programmes, and contact instructions are entirely false and intended to defraud unsuspecting candidates.
The Ministry described the act as impersonation and financial exploitation, adding that steps are being taken to track down those responsible and hand them over to security agencies for prosecution.
Prospective candidates are advised to rely only on official information released through verified government platforms and publications from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
Members of the public are also encouraged to report suspicious admission-related activities to the Department of Nursing Services, Delta State Ministry of Health, Asaba.
The Delta State Government reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, due process, and protecting citizens from fraudulent practices.
