Delta 2023: Ebegba Urges More Consultations Ahead Of Party Primaries, Receives Support Group

Ahead of the 2023 Gubernatorial Elections in Delta State, the Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA) Dr Rufus Ebegba KSJ, has urged members of APC in the State to continue consultations in preparation for the coming Party Primaries.

Dr Ebegba stated this when he received members of the Rufus Ebegba Political Family on a courtesy visit at his Abuja’s residence during this year’s Easter Celebrations.

The NBMA DG while speaking said “I want to welcome you all to Abuja and thank you for honoring me by spending part of the Easter holidays with me.

“Of course many are aware that the political space has become engaging, especially with upcoming Party activities”.

Dr Ebegba who is being urged to throw his hat into the 2023 gubernatorial contest, noted that “We must not forget that the essence of governance is to offer meritorious service to the people, ensuring that they enjoy the dividends of democracy.

“Therefore we must keep our eyes on the ball and keep our interests sincere and aligned with what is best for Deltans.

“The best and most sellable candidate is what we must ensure that APC presents to Deltans in 2023.

“This is why the party leadership and members need to scrutinize all interested parties for the ideal and most suitable candidate to give the ticket.

“Such aspirant must represent what total change is for Delta State, and will make it easier to get the huge number of the voting population to choose APC in Delta State”.

The NBMA DG also emphasized the need to remain courteous and bear an open mind to the party, even as he is been caĺled to come deliver the State from bad rule.

He urged the delegation not to relent, but remain resolute, strong and continue to spread the message of the coming New Political Order in the state.

“The party must reject unhealthy rivalry and promote healthy competition in order to broaden the system in Delta APC, and you all should continue to carry yourselves courteously within the Party and Delta State.

“Our confidence is based on the certainty that the coming political system in Delta APC and State by extension is superior to what has been experienced, and to the benefit of all. We are simply Coming To Organize Delta State.

“We must not allow fear or the activities of others to determine our reaction to political developments, however we must see other party members as brothers but remain loyal, committed and diligent in the pursuit of our collective goal which is to liberate Delta State from the socioeconomic quagmire and moral decadence that has become the norm.

“Therefore, each and everyone must as a matter of urgency continue with consultations and further engage all necessary stakeholders in the project at hand without fear or favor, while also promoting core progressive values and the legacies of the Muhammadu Buhari Administration which I have been an integral part of for the past 7years. APC is well positioned to return in 2023”.

The Rufus Ebegba Political Family meeting featured personalities like Mrs Felix Edewor (Fmr HOA/HOR candidate), Chief Daniel Ekiugbo, Engr Roland Ojeni, Chief Pius Oseruvwoja, Hon Happy Igho Umukoro (PADG, NBMA), Queen Amina, Comrade Ikechukwu Chukwudi, Mrs Esther Onozimare and Chief Goddey Awenuvie.

Others include: Mr Adamu Shittu, Comrade S. Nicholas, Mrs Esther Ayutsede, Mrs Grace Justice, Obasi Queen, Comrade Charles Okodhi, Tom Waya, Chris Waya and Lukwoyi Justice.

Contributions on the way forward and plan of action for the coming weeks were received.
