Barcelona Close In on Permanent Deal for Marcus Rashford
Barcelona have made progress in talks over personal terms with Marcus Rashford for a potential permanent move this summer, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Romano reported that Barcelona have clearly communicated to the England international that “we want you to stay. We are very happy with you,” and negotiations on contract terms between Rashford and Barça are “going very well.”
However, the club-to-club side of the transfer remains unresolved. Manchester United insist they will not discount the €30 million buy option clause in Rashford’s loan agreement, maintaining that Barcelona must meet the agreed fee if they wish to make the move permanent.
Rashford, who has impressed during his loan spell in LaLiga, is reported to be keen on staying at Camp Nou beyond the season, but the final outcome will depend on whether the clubs can agree on the financial terms.
An official announcement is expected once all terms are finalised.
