The finale comes after Morocco eliminated Nigeria in the semi-finals via penalties, 4–2, following a goalless 120 minutes. Nigeria will face Egypt in the third-place match on Saturday, January 17, while Morocco meets Senegal in the final on Sunday, January 18.

Nigerian artistes have consistently been prominent at global events. Wizkid became the first African to perform at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and headline Glastonbury Festival in 2023.

Tiwa Savage performed at King Charles III’s coronation concert, and Rema showcased his global hit Calm Down at the Ballon d’Or ceremony, becoming the first Nigerian to perform at the prestigious football awards.

The AFCON 2025 Fan Zone finale reinforces Nigeria’s influence on global music and celebrates the continent’s cultural pride alongside Africa’s premier football tournament.
