Naomi Announces Pregnancy During WWE Raw, Hands Over Championship
WWE superstar Naomi (Trinity Fatu) has officially announced that she is expecting her first child with husband and fellow wrestler Jimmy Uso, leading her to relinquish the WWE Women’s World Championship.
The emotional reveal took place during Monday Night Raw on August 18, 2025, where Naomi addressed the live crowd in Philadelphia. In a heartfelt moment, she placed her championship belt in the center of the ring, confirming that she would step away from in-ring action during her pregnancy.
“I’m pregnant and I’m having a baby,” Naomi said to thunderous cheers, before assuring fans of her determination to return. “I’m gonna give you nine months and change. Even if I come back breastfeeding with my baby in my arms, I’m coming back to pick up where I left off.”
Her husband, Jimmy Uso, also shared the couple’s joy in a video clip aired from Stephanie McMahon’s podcast, What’s Your Story? “We’re pregnant—there’s a baby on board!” he exclaimed.
Naomi later revealed that she discovered her pregnancy on August 10, describing it as a miracle following years of fertility struggles. “This was something I thought might never happen,” she admitted, visibly emotional.
Following her announcement, tributes poured in from across the WWE locker room, with stars including Bayley and Jade Cargill sending messages of support. Fans on social media also celebrated Naomi’s vow to return, praising her resilience and passion for the sport.
Naomi, a two-time Women’s World Champion and fan favorite for her “Feel the Glow” persona, assured supporters that while she is stepping away temporarily, her journey inside the WWE ring is far from over.
