MDCAN HMB Delta Mourns Exit of Doctor Nwabua as Family Announces Date for Burial


The Medical and Dental Consultants’ Association of Nigeria, MDCAN, Hospitals Management Board, HMB, Delta State, has announced the painful exit of a beloved member and immediate past Chairman of the Association, Dr. Francis Izuegbunem Nwabua.

Chairman, MDCAN HMB Delta State, Dr. Philemon Okolie and Publicity Secretary, Dr Valentine Eziashi in a statement, said the sad event occurred on the 6th of March, 2024 at the age of 53 years.

The statement stated that the burial arrangement as announced by the family, shows that there will be Service of Songs in his honour at Christ Embassy Church, Summit Junction, Asaba, at 4pm on Tuesday, 30th April 2024.

While on Wednesday 1st May 2024, body leaves Asaba Specialist Hospital mortuary in a motorcade for a brief stopover at General Hospital Ibusa and then to his home town, Ogwashi-Uku in Aniocha South LGA, Delta State.

Lying-in-state and funeral service at Nwaeze Primary School Isiokwe, Azungwu is expected to commence at 10am to be followed by interment at his compound Azungwu quarters,

The statement add that there will be Outing Service in the honour of the late Dr Nwabua at Christ Embassy Church, Summit junction, Asaba at 9:30am on Sunday 5th May 2024.

MDCAN regrets the death of its immediate past Chairman and pray God to grant his gentle soul a peaceful rest in His bosom.

Dr Francis Nwabua, survived by his wife, Mrs. Chinonye Nwabua and three children, was until his death the Medical Director, MD of the General Hospital Ibusa in Oshimili North local government area.
