Governor Obaseki sends 18 Commissioner nominees to Assembly for clearance

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has sent a list of eighteen names to Edo state House of Assembly for clearance as Commissioners in the state.

The Governor in a letter addressed to the Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly dated June 19,2017 and titled “Request For Confirmation of Nominees For Commissionership” reads in part “May I respectfully convey my compliments to Mr Speaker and forward for the gracious consideration of the House the following nominees for Commissionership.”

Those on the list Include a former deputy speaker of the House, Hon. Paul Ohonbamu from Egor, Hon. Yekini Idaiye, Akoko- Edo; Barr. Emmanuel Agbale, Esan Central; Barr. Emmanuel Usoh, Esan North- East.

Also included are Magdalene Ohenhen, Esan South- East; Engr. Amiolemen Osahon, Esan West; Hon. Joseph Ughioke, Etsako Central; Mr. Mika Omonokha, Etsako East and Mrs. Mariam Abubakar, Etsako West.

Others are Mr. Osagie John Inegbedion, Igueben; Erimona Edorodion, Ikpoba-Okha; Prof. (Mrs) Yinka Omoregbe, Oredo; Mr. Osaze  Osemwegie- Edo, Orhionmwon; Hon. Monday Osaigbovo, Ovia North- East; Dr. Christopher Adesotu, Ovia South- West; Hon. Jimoh Ijegbai, Owan East; Hon. Okun Reginald, Owan West and Dr. David Osifo from Uhunmwonde.

After reading the names of the nominees to members at Tuesday, 20 June , 2017 plenary, the Speaker, Hon. Justin Okonoboh urged the nominees to submit copies of their curriculum vitae to the Majority Leader latest by 1pm on Wednesday, 21 June 2017.
