Everton Joins Simon €15m Transfer Chase

Everton is intensifying its pursuit of Nigerian winger Moses Simon, with the Premier League club reportedly sending scouts to watch the 29-year-old play for FC Nantes.

Simon, who has 72 caps and 9 goals for Nigeria, has been a priority target for the Toffees, who are planning a rebuild ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to reports, Simon has impressed Everton scouts with his performances this season, registering 7 goals and 9 assists in 27 appearances for Nantes. The Jos-born forward has been open to a new challenge and has instructed his agent to facilitate a move to England.

“Nantes are not opposed to parting ways with the Super Eagle, but will only consider offers of at least €15 million,” Africafoot reported, despite Simon’s current market value being €12m.

Nantes would likely demand a significant transfer fee for the winger, who signed a contract extension last year that runs until June 2026.

Everton’s interest in Simon comes as the club looks to bolster its attacking options.

The Toffees are currently 13th in the Premier League and are planning a rebuild, which makes Simon a valuable target for the team.

With his impressive performances and international experience, Simon could be a key addition to Everton’s squad.
