Eric Chelle Demands $130K Monthly to Remain Super Eagles Coach
Nigeria national football team head coach Eric Chelle has reportedly submitted a set of conditions to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) that includes a significant salary increase if he is to continue in charge of the Super Eagles.
According to multiple reliable outlets, the Malian‑born coach is demanding a monthly pay package of $130,000 (about ₦174 million) a sharp rise from his existing $50,000 salary, as one of the key conditions for contract renewal.
While the NFF has yet to officially confirm the terms of his proposal, insiders say the demands are part of a 19‑point agreement presented by Chelle, which also touches on staffing control, travel arrangements, and technical autonomy.
The federation now faces a tough choice as it weighs Chelle’s compensation package against its financial realities, especially with crucial qualifiers and international fixtures ahead.
