According to the statement, among those arrested are a 21-year-old suspect identified as Idrisu Yakubu, as well as Bello Amodu, aged 40, and Umar Mohammed, aged 38. The trio are alleged to be part of a coordinated gang involved in violent crimes across the region.
During the operation, police recovered several firearms, including one AK-47 rifle and one pump-action gun.
In a separate operation, officers also arrested a 53-year-old suspect named Benjamin Benemor. The police recovered from him an English pistol, an additional pump-action gun, and a locally made firearm.
