Bayern Munich Confident Harry Kane Will Stay Beyond 2027
Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeneß says the club is “very confident” that Harry Kane will remain with the German champions beyond 2027, despite the striker having a release clause valid until the end of January.
Kane, who joined the Bavarians from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, has been in exceptional form, becoming a key figure in Bayern’s attack and helping propel the club to their 33rd Bundesliga title. His impact has been immediate and transformative, making him central to Bayern’s long-term sporting project.
Speaking in an interview with BILD, Hoeneß confirmed that Kane’s contract includes a short-term exit option but insisted the club is relaxed about the situation.
“Kane has a release clause until the end of January. We assume that he will definitely fulfill his contract until 2027,” Hoeneß said.
He further revealed that both the club and the player have expressed openness toward a long-term future together.
“If it were up to us and I’ve heard he wants it too, he will extend. His family feels comfortable,” Hoeneß added, noting that Kane’s smooth integration into life in Munich has strengthened the club’s optimism.
Kane’s arrival has been widely regarded as one of Bayern’s most successful signings in recent years, with his goal-scoring prowess reshaping the club’s attacking structure and earning widespread praise across the Bundesliga.
With Bayern Munich eager to secure their star forward’s future and Kane reportedly content in Germany, negotiations for a contract extension could move forward in the coming months as the club looks to build around the England captain for the long term.
