Africa for Peace Sports Festival Returns November 15 with ₦10 Million in Prizes
The Africa for Peace Sports Festival is set to kick off its second edition on November 15, 2025, to commemorate the International Day for Tolerance.
The highly anticipated sporting event promises an exciting lineup of activities, including gym competitions, Scrabble, snooker, table tennis, and mini football, among others. Chess and fuss-football will also feature as demonstration games, with attractive prizes available for participants.
The initiator of the festival, Ambassador (Comrade) Mulade Sheriff, Ph.D, who also serves as the Chairman of Delta State Mini Football Association, has appointed former Super Eagles international, Edema Fuludu, as Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC).
Fuludu, while accepting the appointment, expressed his gratitude to Ambassador Mulade and pledged to work closely with the organizing team to deliver a successful and memorable event.
According to the organizers, the mini football competition will feature two categories — Under 25–45 years and 46 years and above — with participants expected to adhere strictly to the rules of the game.
With a total prize pool of ₦10 million, including consolidation prizes, the Africa for Peace Sports Festival aims to inspire unity, promote peace through sports, and foster grassroots talent development.
Ambassador Mulade stated that the festival will also serve as a talent discovery platform for the Nigeria Mini Football Association (NMFA), as scouts will be on ground to identify and recruit exceptional players for future national and international competitions.
Registration for interested participants is now open. For further details, contact Ogo Clarkson, Secretary, Mini Football Delta State, via 080-26797191, 080-63417901, or 080-80403030.
