DOPF Celebrates Tompolo at 55, Applauds Contributions to Peace in Niger Delta
The Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF) has congratulated prominent Niger Delta leader and philanthropist, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, on the occasion of his 55th birthday celebrated on April 12.
In a statement issued by its Secretary, Shedrack Onitsha, the Forum described Tompolo as a “liberator of the Niger Delta and a renewed force for good,” noting that his contributions to peacebuilding, regional stability, and socio-economic development remain both impactful and commendable.
DOPF highlighted Tompolo’s transformation over the years, emphasizing his evolution from a key figure in the Niger Delta struggle to a leading voice in private security and community advancement. According to the Forum, his journey reflects resilience, courage, and a sustained commitment to the unity and progress of the region.
“At 55, we celebrate not only the life of Government Ekpemupolo but also a legacy defined by strength, transformation, and service. From his early days advocating for the Niger Delta to his current role as a stabilising force, Tompolo has remained unwavering in his dedication to peace and development,” the statement read.
The Forum particularly commended his leadership of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, noting that the company has played a crucial role in combating oil theft, protecting critical national assets, and restoring stability across the Niger Delta.
DOPF stated that the company’s operations have significantly reduced pipeline vandalism and improved crude oil production, thereby contributing to Nigeria’s economic recovery and boosting national revenue.
“Through Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Tompolo has demonstrated that sustainable peace can be achieved through the integration of local expertise, community trust, and strategic coordination. His efforts have strengthened confidence in the region and enhanced national economic prospects,” the Forum added.
Beyond security, the Forum also acknowledged Tompolo’s expanding philanthropic efforts, describing him as a leader deeply committed to giving back to society. His humanitarian initiatives, it noted, have positively impacted numerous communities across the Niger Delta.
“We commend your continued investment in humanitarian service, which has uplifted many lives. This commitment reflects a leadership style rooted in service, sacrifice, and responsibility to the people,” the statement added.
DOPF concluded by praying for continued good health, divine protection, and wisdom for Tompolo, expressing optimism that he will sustain his role in advancing peace, unity, and sustainable development in the Niger Delta.
