Spain Receive First-Ever Personalised FIFA World Cup Winners’ Rings

Spain have become the first team in FIFA World Cup history to receive personalized championship rings, adding another milestone to their historic triumph at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The newly introduced rings were presented alongside the iconic FIFA World Cup trophy and gold medals after Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 after extra time in the final, making them the first nation to receive the unique honour.

The initiative marks a significant departure from tradition, with FIFA adopting the championship ring culture commonly associated with American sports such as the NFL, NBA and Major League Baseball. The governing body said the rings are intended to become a lasting symbol of World Cup success.

Each ring features the FIFA World Cup trophy on one side and the name of the winning nation on the other. While the captain and head coach received temporary rings during the trophy presentation, the full set of 30 personalized rings will be custom-fitted and officially presented to Spain’s players and coaching staff at a later date.

FIFA also announced that 2,026 championship rings have been produced to commemorate the 2026 tournament. Of these, 30 are reserved for the world champions, while the remaining 1,996 will be made available to fans as officially licensed collectibles.
