President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received the body of the former President Muhammadu Buhari, whose remains was brought back to Nigeria from London today.

Muhammadu Buhari 82, passed away on Sunday July 13^th, 2025 in a London clinic after a complicated illness.

In a brief ceremony at the Umaru Musa Yara’dua International Airport, Katsina State, President Tinubu alongside members of the federal executive council, state governors, all rank military officers gave late Buhari a presidential procession.

The body of late President Muhammadu Buhari, draped in the Nigerian flag and military fatigue was wheeled by top ranking military officers observing guard of honour.

Also present at this ceremony were the immediate family of the late president led by his wife, Aisha Buhari, the wife of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, and wife of the Vice President Kashim Shettima.

His body has been transported in a military ambulance to Daura for the funeral.
