Okowa’s Reelection Has Brought Stability To The Polity In Delta State – Hon Ojo

The Member Representing Ukwuani Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon Alphonsus Ojo says the reelection of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has brought stability to the polity in Delta State.

Hon Ojo in a statement described the victory of Dr Okowa as resounding, stressing that equity, justice, mutual respect and understanding were key for peace and development of any society.

The Lawmaker acknowledged the massive support of Deltans in the reelection project of Dr Okowa and commended the people for standing firm on the side of truth.

Hon Ojo, a Medical Doctor, while felicitating with the governor, stated that the next four years would witness unprecedented growth as Dr Okowa was very capable of making good his electioneering promises.

He stated that the first tenure was good, expressing optimism that the second tenure would be great, urging Deltans to sustain their love and support for the governor.

“I thank Deltans for standing firm with Dr Okowa. The people came out in their large number to massively vote for him. The PDP candidate for the election gathered 925, 274 votes against the APC Great Ogboru’s 215,938 votes. Deltans made a clear statement with their votes. They voted for stronger and more united Delta. Okowa victory has brought stability to the polity of Delta State. The massive votes for the governor was a reward for his sterling achievements and performance in nearly all sectors of the state’s economy.” Hon Ojo stated.

Continuing, he stated “Deltans stood firm with the Governor even in the face of obvious threats and intimidations. Because it was God’s own project, a huge success was recorded by the Governor at the polls. I commend INEC for ensuring a seamless electoral process in the state. The victory was well deserved and an act of God.
