Oborevwori Swears In New Appointees, Demands Integrity, Accountability
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has sworn in two new commissioners and four other political appointees, charging them to uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and accountability in the discharge of their duties.
The swearing-in ceremony, held on Tuesday in Asaba, saw Mr. Brave Enodeh and Mr. Moses Ogodo inaugurated as Commissioners and members of the State Executive Council. Mr. Cosmas Igbenije was also sworn in as a member of the Governing Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), while Chief Joseph Ojobu, Chief James Obeuwou and Mr. Fun-Ebi Edonyabo took the oath of office as members of the Delta State Judicial Service Commission.
Governor Oborevwori explained that Enodeh and Ogodo were appointed following the resignation of two former commissioners who stepped down to contest seats in the Delta State House of Assembly.
Addressing the appointees, the governor urged them to demonstrate exemplary leadership, transparency and commitment to public service.
“Your actions should inspire public confidence and reinforce our administration’s commitment to the MORE Agenda.”

Speaking on the DESOPADEC appointment, Oborevwori urged Igbenije to justify the confidence reposed in him through discipline and dedication to the development of oil-producing communities. He noted that the commission’s board had recorded significant achievements in road construction, education, healthcare, electricity, water supply and other infrastructure projects across host communities.
The governor also charged the newly inaugurated members of the Delta State Judicial Service Commission to discharge their constitutional responsibilities with fairness, impartiality and integrity, stressing the importance of an independent and corruption-free judiciary.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening governance through inclusive leadership and sustained collaboration with the judiciary, while praying for wisdom and good health for the appointees.
Responding on behalf of the appointees, Mr. Brave Enodeh thanked the governor for the confidence reposed in them and pledged their commitment to advancing the administration’s M.O.R.E. Agenda in the interest of Delta State.
