Tinubu Appoints Kingsley Tochukwu Ude as Minister, Awaits Senate Screening

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Ude, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) from Enugu State, as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The President’s request for Ude’s confirmation was contained in a letter sent to the Senate and read during Tuesday’s plenary session by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

According to the letter, Tinubu urged the upper legislative chamber to screen and confirm the nominee in accordance with constitutional provisions.

Following the reading of the letter, Senator Akpabio referred the nomination to the Committee of the Whole for legislative consideration and screening.
