NigeriaDecides2019: PDP Wins Ika Federal Constituency Election
The House of Representatives candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for Ika federal constituency in Delta State, Hon Victor Nwokolo has been declared winner of Saturday’s election.
He defeated his closet rival, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC Mr Sebastine Okoh with a wide difference of 34, 847 votes.
Announcing the official results amid tight security at the INEC collation center in Agbor, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Returning Officer for the election, Mr Ndukwe Idike said the PDP candidate for the election scored 47,688 votes to emerge the winner.
According to Mr Idike, the All Progressive Party, APC candidate got 12,841 votes.
With this win by the PDP candidate, Hon Victor Nwokolo will be returning to the Green Chambers for the third time in a row as representative for Ika Federal Constituency.
