Delta APC: Emerhor Hosts Oguma in Evwreni, Urges Unity Ahead 2027
…Olorogun Emerhor is a Bridge Builder – Chief Nomuoja
The founding leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, has taken decisive steps to deepen unity within the party by formally embracing new defectors led by Olorogun John Oguma, at his country home in Evwreni, Ughelli North Local Government Area.
At the meeting with members of Olorogun Oguma’s political family, Emerhor assured that new entrants will not be marginalized but integrated into decision-making. “APC must not be static,” he said, “we must build a party that accepts those who share our vision and are ready to work toward winning in 2027.”
Commenting on the visit, an APC chieftain in Ughelli South, Chief Ejiro Nomuoja, said, “Olorogun O’tega Emerhor is a gentle and peaceful politician and a bridge builder. His many affiliations, charitable, educational, and political reputation for fairness make him a credible unifier.”
He added that, as the first APC governorship candidate in Delta, Emerhor has remained as a central rallying figure for the party, especially following the April 2025 defection of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and his political structure from the PDP to APC.

Chief Ejiro Nomuoja, Esq.,
Olorogun John Oguma, who joined the APC defectors, used the platform to applaud Emerhor’s consistency and leadership. He emphasized the need for the party to deepen its grassroots presence, mobilise at the ward and local government levels, and resolve internal differences to avoid distractions in the run-up to the elections.
Emerhor’s political profile lends weight to these moves. Born in 1957 in Evwreni, he is a chartered accountant, businessman, and long time political actor. He contested for governor in 2015 under APC, and remains one of the party’s elder statesmen in Delta.
His recent hospitality to Oguma and other new members underscores a strategy to make APC robust and inclusive ahead of the 2027 general elections.
