2019 Elections: Nigerian Politicians Not Worth Dying For – Mulade Cautions Youths 


…Reiterates Call On Candidates To Accept Result In Good Faith.

A renowned Nigerian peace and environmental rights advocate, and front line stakeholder in Nigeria politics, Comrade Sheriff Mulade has again cautioned youths across the country to shelve negative tendencies of resorting to violence in a bid to protect the interest of their principal, vis-a-vis political leaders who may be aggrieved over the outcome of the result of the  2019 general elections.

Comrade Mulade who is an excellent example of peaceful politics, made this known to newsmen in Nairobi, Kenya on Monday, February 25, 2019 while participating at the African Youths Leadership Conference.

According to him; “The current political leaders in Nigeria are not worth dying for and  therefore, I am appealing to you all, especially our youths to price yourselves with a value of tomorrow leaders. Don’t allow yourself to be used as a sacrificial lamb of any politician whose primary desire is for power and fame”.

Comrade Mulade also sympathised with families who lost their loved ones and those who sustained injuries as a result of elections activities in different parts of the country and urged security operatives to adopt high level intelligence to prevent crime, protect lives and property.

He further called on the National Orientation Agency, the Independent National Electoral Commission to always come up with adequate sensitisation, orientation and awareness programmes for inter-party, members, candidates and voters to interact peacefully.

The Activist also urged all candidates to show good example by accepting the result of the elections, saying that; “It is important for all Presidential candidates to accept the outcome of the polls and support the winner for a better Nigeria”.
