Udu 2019: Uviejitobor Emerges PDP Candidate, Promises More Dividends Of Democracy


The member representing Udu Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor has assured the people of the local government area of more dividends of democracy from the Okowa’s led administration.

Reacting to the peaceful conduct of the PDP State House of Assembly primaries in the council area and his emergence as the candidate for the party in the 2019 general election, Hon. Uviejitobor said the future holds a lot of great things for the Udu Constituency.

The Lawmaker who was elated over the outcome of the primaries election, thanked the State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, PDP delegates, leaders and members in Udu Local Government Area for their efforts in ensuring that he emerged as a consensus candidate.

Hon. Uviejitobor promised to carry every member of the Party along in the scheme of things, stressing that he will continue to attract meaningful and practical development to the Constituency when reelected into the State Assembly in 2019.

While lauding the existing unity in Udu PDP, the Lawmaker who is the Chairman House Committee on Lands, Survey and Urban Development, called for more commitment from Party faithful towards ensuring all round victory for the PDP in 2019 in the Council Area.

He also called on the people of Udu Local Government Area to reciprocate Okowa’s unprecedented development strides in the Area by voting massively for his reelection and that of the Governor as well as all other PDP candidates in next year’s general elections.

The Returning Officer for the Primary Election held at Permanent Camp, DSC Steel town, Mrs. Vivian Ogheneovo had announced that Hon Uviejitobor scored 120 votes out of the 121 votes cast in the affirmative primary election as one vote was voided.

Mrs. Ogheneovo noted that Hon Uviejitobor was unopposed aspirant at the Party Primaries for the Udu Constituency.
