My Committee Will Ensure Increase In Budgetary Allocation To Culture And Tourism Ministry – Osanebi


The Chairman, Delta State House of Assembly Committee on Art, Culture and Tourism, Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi has promised that his Committee will help attract investors and investment to the Culture and Tourism sector in the state.

Speaking with newsmen in Asaba, Rt Hon. Osanebi who is the immediate past Deputy Speaker of the House, said there are lot of potentials in the sector in Delta State, especially in the Tourism industry.

The Lawmaker explained that, what was required is sincere commitment of stakeholders to grow the sector, saying that there will be serious push on the private sector to invest in the industry.

Osanebi said his Committee will seek an increase in the budgetary allocation to the state ministry of Culture and Tourism, stressing that the past budget to the ministry has been very low.

The Lawmaker pointed out that he is very optimistic that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in Delta State will perform better when adequately funded and promised to do his best in that regards.

Rt. Hon. Friday Osanebi promised to work with the Commissioner and the management team in the State Ministry of Culture and Tourism to drive the state Government’s agenda in the sector.

He commended the commitment of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in the sector, assuring him of the support of the state legislature at all times.
