Environment: Yingi Advocates For A Cleaner Delta State


The Special Adviser to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Environment and Marine Transportation, Hon Daniel Yingi has advocated for enhanced synergy among stakeholders in the task of achieving a cleaner Delta State.

Hon Yingi in a statement in Asaba while reacting to his new portfolios in the government of Delta State, noted that there was the need for Deltans to imbibe the culture of cleanliness at all times.

The former lawmaker who was the Chairman, House Committee on Environment, Oil and Gas for eight years in the Delta State House of Assembly, noted that he is in a familiar terrains.

Hon Yingi explained that beside his wealth of experience in the Legislature and Local Government administration as a one time Chairman of the Council, he has been in Marine business for over three decades providing logistics to both public and private sectors across the Niger Delta States.

He pledged to bring his wealth of experience in both the Environment and Marine transportation sub sectors to bear in the goal of building a stronger Delta State set for itself by the present administration in the state.

The Special Adviser expressed appreciation to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the appointment, promising not to betray the confidence reposed on him.

Hon Yingi stated that Delta State was regarded as the cleanest state in Nigeria, stressing the commitment of the present administration to maintain the number one position in environmental management.

He emphasized that Delta State is in safe hands with Dr Ifeanyi Okowa at the helm of affairs and called for continued support of Deltans.
