The statement reads below;
“The President, Isoko National Youth Assembly (INYA) Comrade, Umuakpo Ovie condemns in the strongest of terms the merciless brutalization and murder of our dear sister Miss Elozino Ogege, a 300l first class student of Mass Communication, Delta State University, Abraka, by suspected ritualist.
“It is indeed a sad and dark day for the Isoko nation to have again lost one of her beauties and brains, in the most gruesome and cruel manner to heartless and mindless individuals who would go to any unrighteous extent and length to lay hands on filthy riches and wealth.
“It is our call that the Nigeria Police, the Directorate of Public Prosecutions and other concerned parties to accelerate all processes within their ambit to wrap up investigations and immediately begin prosecution of the culprits, bringing same to justice in accordance with the laws of the nation as anything short of timely dispensation of justice will amount to denial. We also call on the comity of Civil Society Organizations to join the call for justice for late Elozino Ogege.
“As a body, we will not relent in this bid but sustain the pressure on all concerned authorities until justice is adequately served, as deterrent to other monsters like Elozino’s killers within of sphere.
“Our leaders and indeed the general society must become more intolerant, irritable and unaccommodating to individuals with questionable riches.
“We mourn with the family and pray that God will comfort them in such a manner that no man can do and give them the strength and fortitude to weather away this dark storm.”
